Interested in canning but scared about doing it right? I’ll walk you through every step of the process in this confidence-building, hands-on workshop. You will leave feeling completely capable with your new skills.

Come over and learn…

  • safety and technique for water bath canning any high acid food (jam, pickles, salsa, fruit, marinara sauce…)
  • common canning pitfalls and corrections
  • proper processing methods and times for safe home-canned products
  • the basic equipment you need to preserve perishable food in your own kitchen

When you’re done with that…

Sample a slice of fresh-baked bread topped with our spread and go home with a jar of freshly canned jam!

What to bring:

  • A buddy! It’s always more fun to learn while spending time with someone you like!
  • Clothes you don’t mind cooking in, and an apron if you want to really get in the homesteading spirit!
  • This is a masks-optional event. Please bring your mask if you prefer to wear one.
