WPS Sourdough

Hey! Thanks for coming by!

Here are the recipes we made and shared with the children of Woodland Pond School, along with a few extras.

Sourdough Pretzel Bites

Sourdough Oatmeal Cookies

Sourdough Focaccia – we didn’t make this one, but it’s a nice, beginner-level recipe that turns out great pretty much every time. It’s very forgiving.

Explore Farmhouse on Boone, where the recipes above came from. It is a fantastic resource for all things sourdough.

Bread Pet Pancake:

Preheat a pan over medium heat. Add a dollop of butter/oil/culinary lubricant of choice. Pour the starter you need to discard when feeding into the pan and cook until you see bubbles rising and popping (just like a pancake). Sprinkle with a little salt and flip it over to finish cooking until no longer gooey in the middle, and golden brown on the other side.

It’s simple and delicious. Add herbs, chocolate chips, berries, or just hit it with some butter and something sweet – whatever floats your boat.
