Stand Mixer – Kitchenaid Classic
- there is a lot of mixing in this recipe, so a stand mixer is preferable to hand beaters – but you could use those too if that’s what you have!
- lightly coat with oil or butter to prevent sticking. I use at least 2 for this recipe.
- This style of food thermometer is great – you can program it for the temperature you want and an alarm will go off to let you know the temperature has been reached. Great for candy, roasts, grilling and deep frying.
